Christopher Ludgate's recent work in film includes the award-winning doc, With Love, which screened at festivals worldwide revealing a unique glimpse into the famous NYC outreach agency, God's Love We Deliver. He won Best Director Short Form Doc at the U.S. Premier in NYC. The film is in distribution with Alexander Street Press in its Social Sciences Collection.
His debut multi-award-winning satire film, The Love Permit, which was adapted from his acclaimed original play. It played the festival circuit worldwide for a remarkable seven years. TLP was honored to be curated by NYC’s Queens Museum & Ministry of Culture.
Chris was also Associate Producer on the film, Io non
Devo, an Italian short film by Andrea C. Vannucci who won an award for Cinematography at its premier at Museum of the Moving Image with QWFF. Chris has also has worked with Vannucci as a voice-over artist on a fragrance commercial.

In addition to earning an honors degree in journalism and film, Chris was also an avid student at Strasberg Theater Institute and HB Studios. He went on to build a dynamic resume with roles in feature films, daytime drama, NYC’s theatre scene, voice-overs, and short films. He also appeared in commercial print, and on multiple book covers in addition to TV ads, fitness videos, and runway. (Whew!)
